My Approach

I work with couples who feel stuck, disconnected, or caught in the same arguments no matter how hard they try to fix things. Often, the problem isn’t a lack of love; it’s that something keeps pulling you into patterns that leave both of you feeling unheard, misunderstood, or alone.

In the room, I’m warm, steady, and direct. I don’t take sides, but I stay actively involved. I help slow things down so we can look at what’s really happening between you—what gets triggered, what gets missed, and what each of you is trying to protect beneath the conflict.

I show up as a real person. I ask honest questions, name patterns when I see them, and stay with the hard moments instead of rushing past them. My goal is to create a grounded, genuine space where both partners feel safe enough to be honest, reconnect, and begin building a relationship that feels more secure, connected, and alive.

The First four Sessions

The relationship between client and therapist is foundational to bringing about change. Your experience in the room matters to me.

First Session

In our first session, we’ll go over the intake paperwork, and I'll ask a few standard intake questions. After that, we’ll discuss what brings you in and how it has been impacting our lives. Think of this session as our introduction.

Second & Third Session

These sessions are where I get to learn more about you. I'll ask about your childhood, your relationships, your beliefs, fears, and how you have tried carry this weight thus far. For my clients who come as a couple, I will meet with you individually so I can spend a full session getting to know you both.

Fourth Session

In this last session, I’ll share my understanding of what you are bringing in and how it is impacting your life. I’ll share my hypothesis of what I believe is going on underneath the pain. If you feel I don’t have an accurate understanding, I welcome that feedback. It enables me to be more effective in my role. Once you feel confident in my understanding of what you’re bringing in, we’ll discuss treatment goals that will help you create a new experience.
